There are extra considerations when your child has special needs, but time outside still can offer tremendous therapeutic benefits, especially for children with autism or similar conditions that may keep them confined indoors in highly structured, climate-controlled environments for most of the day. 

Colin Newton will be delivering a webinar – Person-Centred Planning in Action – the follow-up to Person-Centred Thinking,  in a series facilitated by Dr Pascale Paradis of 3ppsychologies from 16th April at 10pm (BST, late time due to international broadcast).

First developed in the 1980s, Person Centred planning aimed at bringing people, of any age, into a mainstream life in schools and wider communities. This approach is rooted in the social model and aims to empower people who have traditionally been disempowered by ‘specialist’ or segregated services by handing power and control back to them.
