How Do People Learn? Two Learning experts in conversation
This course offers a rare opportunity to learn from two eminent educators. One, a widely esteemed and talented trombone player and teacher, and the other a very experienced inclusive educational psychologist.
Drawing upon shared knowledge and direct experience of learning, the two educators explore dominant psychological models and how they make sense in the real world of teaching. From teaching trombone at an expert level, to teaching children and young people with complex needs, there’s a lot of overlap when it comes to learning.
By listening deeply and making connections to your own experiences, you will be able to consider how to improve your own teaching and the teaching of others.
Colin and Jacqui Newton facilitated and taught the Parent Solution Circle approach – a radical new way to empower parents and carers in a shared problem solving process. https://cademy.co.uk/inclusive-solutions/parent-solutions-circle
This took place in Gosport, Hampshire and built on our learning in the Nottingham and Grimsby workshops.
Colin Newton and Jacqui Newton facilitated a service PATH for County Durham Educational Psychology Service.
